History of Futsal:

Futsal is an exciting 5-a-side indoor football game that combines the rules of soccer and basketball. The game is played on a floor covering court, using a smaller, less bouncy ball known as a “lazy ball” which offers better control on the ground due to its reduced bounce compared to a regular soccer ball. This dynamic and captivating sport is enjoyed in over 100 countries around the world. The sport first began in Uruguay in 1930, and the Futsal Federation was founded in 1980. Today, the sport continues to grow in popularity, The world’s great footballers such as Maradona, Zico, Ronaldinho and Messi started their football career on small pitches, or futsal. With the top six teams in the world being Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Iran, Argentina and Italy, showcasing incredible talent and skill in these countries.
